Pastor Steve Rayburn - Senior Pastor,

       Pastor Steve just celebrated his fifth (5th) year as pastor of FBC Swannanoa.   A native Floridian he and his wife (Patsy) moved here in March of 2006.  He has pastored churches in Georgia, Florida and Kentucky before coming to North Carolina.  Pastor Steve has earned the A.A.B.A, M. Div. and  D. Min (ABD) degrees.  He has also completed two full units of CPE (clinical pastoral education) at Southern Seminary and Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.   
     While in Florida he served on the State Board of Missions for eight years with the Florida Baptist Convention, and also several as Vice President and President of the State Board.  Pastor Steve also has served on the associational level in various ways serving as moderator of the Greater Orlando Baptist Association and the Duval (Jacksonville) Association.
     Pastor Steve's mission trips have included trips within the continental United States and  overseas.  These trips include:  Montana (5x), New York, Massachusetts, China, Africa (Kenya), Trinidad & Tabago, Puerto Rico, Canada Jamaica, St. Croix and others.
     Pastor Steve and Patsy have been married for forty years and have two married children and two grandchildren.
