Congratulations to the following who joined me in “Reading the Bible Through Chronologically” this past year. It was a great experience:

     Pam Brown, James Thomas, Carl Bartlett, Barbara Harrison, Lib Sutphin, Anne Edwards, Yvonne Lehman, Betty Tomblin, Brent Hawks, Kathy Powell, Debra Jarzyna, Betty Hall, Elizabeth McPeters, Amy Snyder, Pansy Stikeleather, and Ruth Ogle.

There may be more of you, but these are the ones I know about because they turned their reading plans back in to me. Great job! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

     Now that the New Year has started I want to encourage you to get involved in some type of ministry to reach out to those who need Christ. There are several ways to do this.

• Get involved on a GROW outreach team. We meet Mondays at 6:30pm.
• Get involved with one of our international mission trips to Haiti or Honduras. If you can’t go, you may be able to give needed supplies or help pay for someone else to go.
• Help the various missions ministries our church supports by picking up one of our missions catalogs and help them by paying for needed supplies.
• Get involved with Disaster Relief or our Community Outreach Ministry. See Harvey Hart for Disaster Relief or Rick Hall of COM.
• Help feed guests of the Homeless Shelter in Black Mountain the last week of February. Our church is responsible for the week of Feb. 26-March 3. Some SS classes have taken most of the nights but there are still 2 dates open: Monday, Feb. 27 and Wed., Feb. 29. If you are interested, let me know as soon as possible.

I also hope you will make this the year you get plugged in to a Sunday School class if you aren’t already.
